Born in Brooklyn, NY, Charlie was a resident of Port St. Lucie for 2 years, moving from Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
He served in the US Army. Prior to retirement, Mr. Schaefer was a typesetter in the Publishing Industry for 35 years in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Survivors include two sons, James Murphy and wife Chrissy of Port St. Lucie, FL, Richard Kelley and wife Irma of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two daughters, Cynthia Kelley of Coconut Creek, FL, Janet O’Conner of Port St. Lucie, FL; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 12, 2012, 1PM at the Aycock Funeral Home Chapel in Port St. Lucie, FL.
