Constance (Connie) C. McIntyre (nee Meyer) age 68 passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021. She was born and raised in Bronx New York. She graduated from Saint Simon Stock High School where she made lifelong friends. Connie went on to work for TIAA for 35 years, creating enduring friendships along the way. As a proud New Yorker, she retired in 2004. After marrying James McIntyre in 1988 she moved to the Jersey Shore where they lived until their move to Port St Lucie Florida in 2008.
There are so many attributes that Connie had that made her the wonderful person she was. Anyone that knew her learned that she was an avid Elvis fan. When she moved to Florida she created an, "Elvis room” in her home. Connie loved cruising. In retirement Connie and Jimmy enjoyed cruising often five or six times a year. Connie’s favorite place to sit was in front of a video poker machine. You might say she never saw a video poker machine she didn’t like. One last attribute, out of many, was her love and devotion to her dogs. Her two dogs “Chief” and “Puppinio” never wanted for love and attention and were always by her side. Lastly, Connie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ocean Beach Fire Company #3 for many years and the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 318. You could always count on having a fun time when Connie was around. One couldn't ask for a better or more loyal friend. She was always full of life with a welcoming personality.
During the last 7 years Connie was faced with many health challenges. The strength and courage she displayed was truly remarkable. She never complained even though she had plenty of reasons to do so.
She fought the good fight. Connie was blessed to have such a loving and caring partner in Jim by her side.
Her smiling face, crystal blue eyes and genuine warmth will be missed by all that know her. The world was a better place with Connie in it. Now heaven gets to have her and we gain a red headed angel.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband James of thirty three years, her sister Virginia Butts, her niece Allison McKenna and grandnephew Jordan. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents William and Mary Meyer, her brother, William Meyer and wife, Donna, sister, Nancy Varis, sister Barbara and husband, John Turissini, sister, Joan and husband, James McKenna and brother-in-law, William Butts.
