Florida being the last of his 23 residences across 7 states , beginning with his Bloomington, Indiana birth. His 40 plus year career in the trucking industry was marked by great personal gains and a well- respected legacy. He was proud to have been a 50+ year member of the Ironton, Ohio Masonic Lodge and a 32 degree with the Valley of Cincinnati Chapter.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Coy Livingston and Clova (Livingston) Ferrand; his beloved brother and sister, John Hawkins and Evelyn Eaton, and (as infants) 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Dan is survived by his wife of 63+ years, Sara Jane (Aldridge), who was at his side in his passing and in every day of their blessed life together; daughter, Kathy (Lenexa, KS); sons, Jerry (Dixon Springs, TN) and Tom (Port St. Lucie, FL); 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Dan will be remembered as a strong Christian , a trucking pioneer, an honest friend, and an amazing story teller.
A Celebration and Visitation will take place on Tuesday March 26, 2019 from 3-6pm at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive Port St. Lucie, Florida 34983. A Graveside service will take place on Wednesday March 27, 2019 at 11 am at White City Cemetery, 3800 Sunrise Blvd. Fort Pierce, Florida 34982.
