

David served honorably in the United States Army, Signal Core, 51st Battalion for ten years. He served in the Korean War and was stationed in France and Germany. He was discharged in 1958. After leaving the Army, David worked for the United States Government as a Quality Control Inspector and retired in 1986.
He was a talented craftsman and enjoyed making toys and children's furniture. His signature was a shiny penny embedded in the bottom of the pieces he made.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marie; his children, Jerome Lawrence (Kathey) of Windham, NH, Jonathan Lawrence of Winslow, AZ, Dawn Wardyga (Alec) of Barrington, RI, and Debra Romano (Charles) of East Providence, RI. He is also survived by his sister, Constance Greaves of Warwick, RI, and is survived by eleven granchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Luciana Lawrence, his brothers, John, Joseph and Manuel Lawrence, his ssisters, Mary Lawrence De Mello, Irene Lawrence Breault, Hilda Lawrence Holden and grandson Jason David Wardyga.
Viewing will be Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 4:00PM - 8:00PM at the Aycock Funeral Home at 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL.
Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2330 Mariposa Avenue, Port St. Lucie,FL on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 10:00AM. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Rhode Island.
