He served in the US Marine Corps from 1952 through 1957, during the Korean Conflict.
He met the love of his life, Marjorie Louise McGowan while serving in the Marine Corps in Schenectady, NY, and had five children. He lived in Malone, NY; Gabriels, NY; Morrisonville, NY; and then Clifton Park, NY during his career at New York Telephone Company. He was proud of his family history, including the Chase guideboats in Newcomb, NY, and their long history in the Adirondack Mountains. His love of gardening provided the family with the juiciest and sweetest tomatoes as well as the best corn on the cob. He proudly coached his sons on their losing baseball teams and was an inspiring scout leader. He loved the outdoors and traveling in his motorhome. He toured the United States, Canada and Mexico. He was at his happiest being outdoors and participating in many outdoor activities with his family. He served as a Councilman for the Town of Brighton while living in Gabriels, New York.
He retired from the New York Telephone Company in 1991 and moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1992.
He leaves behind his children; William Edmond Chase (Kimberly), Allan John Chase (Jane), Terri Anne Chase (Ann), Kimberly Chase Falsey, and Tammy Louise Roman (James). Ten grandchildren: Lisa Chance, William Gebhart, Theodore and Nicholas Chase; Allan and Danielle Chase, Chelsea and Trevor Falsey, Makensie and Brianne Roman and several great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, Caleb Donald Chase, Neil Frederick Chase, and Anne-Marie Friello among many other loved ones, nieces, and nephews.
Edmond was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marjorie, and siblings, Theodore (Duke) Chase and Wayne Chase.
A Visitation for Edmond will be held Friday, September 1, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 12 PM, at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 Southeast Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
