Lisa was born in Miami , Florida and raised by her parents, the late Freddie and Jeanne Marie Rowland. In 1974, Lisa moved to Port St, Lucie. She worked for 27 years with the United States Postal Service. She was active in St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Port St. Lucie. Lisa was an animal lover and will be missed dearly by her Main Coon Hemingway Cat, Smirnoff "Baby Girl". Lisa was a supporter of Dogs and Cats Forever. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Lisa was an avid Auto Racing fan, and used to support her husband Jim when he was an auto racer. Lisa was a caregiver and spent her entire life giving to others, even when she herself did not have much, she wanted to make sure others were cared for.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Jim Zarder; daughters, Ana Mehalyak (Jim) of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Charmane Hembree (John), of Kentucky; grandchildren, Daniel Bedwell, Kristin Bedwell, Steven Cornwell, Treasa Cornwell, Destiny Cornwell, and Johnathan Cornwell; great granddaughter, Aubriana Heimer; sisters, Dorothea Brandenburg and Joyce Nissenfeld; and brother, Gary Langton.
A service celebrating Lisa will be held on Saturday October 6, 2018 at 10 am at St Andrew Lutheran Church, 295 NW Prima Vista Blvd, Port St Lucie, FL 34983.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Lisa's name to Dogs and Cats Forever, 4600 Selvitz Rd, Fort Pierce, FL 34981 or to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5090 Dunn Road Fort Pierce, Florida 34981.
