Emily Clark

Emily Jones Clark, 89, went home to the Lord on February 7, 2014. She resided in Tropical Isles, Ft. Pierce, FL. She was born on January 31, 1925, in Pittsfield, MA to Adria Brown and Edward Jones. After high school she moved to NH to attend Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing. It was during that time that she met the love of her life, a young sailor, Francis H. Clark, who was in the hospital for surgery. They married in November 1946 and started a family. Emily worked at Sacred Heart for many years as an RN and also at one of the first walk in clinics and for Blue Cross in Concord, NH. She also enjoyed jobs at fabric stores in Manchester and loved to sew clothes for children and grand children and do crafts. Emily kept in close contact with some Nursing School classmates who referred to themselves as "Club”.

She was involved with the Altar and Rosary Society and choir at Blessed Sacrament Church in Manchester and with the CWA at St. Lucie Church in Port St. Lucie, FL. She was honored there for her contributions to the holiday bazaar.

After Frank’s retirement , their planned move to FL was sidelined by the need to care for Emily’s mom in Tucson, AZ. Two years later they made their home in FL.

Emily was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Francis H. Clark. She is survived by her six children, Patricia Clark of Ft. Pierce, FL, Mary Caldwell and husband, Dennis, of Englewood, TN, Kathleen Clark of Portsmouth, NH, James Clark and wife, Linda, of Weare, NH, Margaret Christy of Tucson, AZ, and Lori Theos of Somersworth, NH, fourteen grandchildren Scott,Jason, Becki, Matt, Casey, Kelly,Kristen,Beth, Judiah, Aviry, David, Amber, Jade, and Justin. and fourteen great grandchildren, her two brothers, Edward Jones and wife, Jan of Tucson, AZ and Joe Gray and wife Joan of Rochester, NH and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be at the NH Veterans Cemetery at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Diabetes Research
