Eric was a proud Philadelphian who attended Overbrook High School before earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He went on to graduate from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, beginning a lifelong career devoted to caring for others. As a general practitioner in private practice, Eric spent decades caring for families, often serving multiple generations with dedication, steadiness, and quiet competence.
A man who always marched to his own band, Eric lived life on his own terms. His adventurous spirit led him far from home when he spent ten years as Head Physician for General Dynamics in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia—an experience that reflected both his independence and his willingness to take on challenges few others would. He was a man of few words but strong opinions, perhaps best exemplified by his unwavering loyalty as a Dallas Cowboys fan in the heart of Eagles country.
Above all else, Eric was deeply committed to providing for and protecting his family. In his final days, he lived in Florida with his wife of 63 years, Rosane Leonardo, alongside his daughter and son-in-law, Candace and Michael Finn, surrounded by love and care.
Eric is survived by his devoted wife, Rosane; his daughter and son-in-law, Candace and Michael Finn; his son, Marc; and his cherished granddaughter, Tate. He will be remembered for his independence, his quiet strength, his dedication to medicine, and the enduring love he had for his family.
