Frank Maurice Ricigliano passed away in Port St. Lucie, FL, on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at the age of 92. Born in Trenton, NJ, on January 19, 1926, he was the oldest of three sons of Anthony and Celia (Rizziello) Ricigliano. He grew up on a farm where he learned a variety of important skills that he used throughout his life, from cultivating crops, to problem solving, and mechanical repair. He enjoyed carpentry and built his own house and the houses of his two brothers. He was generous with his time and was always there to help friends and relatives with household projects.
In addition to working on the farm, Frank was a foreman of the maintenance department at the Kramer Trenton Company, a commercial refrigeration equipment business. He worked there for forty years and made lifelong friendships with his coworkers.
Frank was married and had two children, Frank and Lorraine. Together they took long road trips and visited many states. Later in life, he fulfilled his dream of visiting Italy, where his immigrant parents were born.
Frank remarried Christine in 1980 and they shared many happy years together. After retirement, they moved from New Jersey to Florida. Wherever they lived, Frank had a vegetable garden and grew the best tasting tomatoes and hot peppers. He enjoyed cooking, canning, and preserving. He was also an avid reader of history and liked doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. His Catholic faith sustained him throughout his life and he was a congregant at churches in New Jersey and Florida.
Frank is survived by his wife Christine, son Frank Ricigliano of Warner Robins, GA, daughter Lorraine Ricigliano and her husband Bob Menanteaux of Tacoma, WA, brother Gene Rigelon and his wife Joy of Front Royal, VA, and sister-in-law Jeannie Ricigliano of Port St. Lucie, FL, married to Tony Ricigliano who predeceased his brother. Frank was loved by many family members and friends and will be sadly missed.
Special thanks go to the staff at Martin Memorial South Hospital for the excellent and compassionate care they gave Frank during the final days of his life. They were a great comfort to him and his family.
I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," said the Spirit, "let them find rest from their labors, for their works accompany them." Revelation 14:13
