

He was the son of the late Frank Sr. and Mary (Piszker) Takacs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life of 45 years, Linda and his sister Barbara Gliatta. Left to cherish his memory are sons Frank and Daniel, granddaughters Cassidy and Kayla, nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in Passaic, NJ and raised in Elmwood Park, NJ Frank was a proud veteran of the US Armed Forces, having served in Viet Nam 1967-1968 as a member of the Army, 1st Calvary Division. He was a 50 Year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers LU 164, retiring in 2000 and American Legion Post 318 Port St. Lucie. He was also a member of Woodstock Nation, having attended the original 1969 Music and Arts Fair.
Before moving to Port St. Lucie in 2000, he resided in Oakland, NJ for 30 years. He loved coaching sports, hiking, the great outdoors and spent many summer weekends in the Catskill and Adirondack regions of NY State. He was an amateur astronomer, avid bowler and lover of music.
He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be Thursday, February 9, 2017, 12:30PM at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
