Harold A (Skeeter) Smith age 62, passed away peacefully with family by his side. Harold was born in Phillipsburg, NJ and lived in Hunterdon County, NJ. He moved to the Florida area in 1985. He graduated from High Bridge High School in 1968. Harold enlisted in the US Air Force in June of 1968 and spent 7 years during the Viet Nam Conflict. In the Air Force he studied to be a machinist. He moved to the Florida area in 1985.
Harold was a Machinist for American Custom Yachts for 17 years. He was also a Master Gunsmith and was a member of NRA for many years. Harold also loved his motorcycles especially his Harleys’ and playing his sax and drums in various bands throughout the years. His hands created beautiful work.
He was pre- decreased by his father Harold A Smith, Sr and his grand-daughter Kyra Ellyse Smith, June 2007.
Harold is survived by a daughter Nathalie and her husband Edwin Douglas, and a son Eric Smith and his companion Cindy. His mother, Mary Smith, and a sister Connie Foland, a brother Edward and his wife Debbie Smith, Ronald Smith and another sister, Melanie and her husband Bill Pasternak. His grand children were the light of his life, Nathan Seal, Hannah Douglas and Alex Smith. He was also survived may many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 21, 2013, 4:00PM-7:00PM at the Aycock Funeral Home Chapel in Port St. Lucie, FL.
A graveside service will be Friday, February 22, 2013, 10:15AM at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
