Hilde Hesse

Hilde Hesse (nee Mueller) passed away peacefully at her home in Port St. Lucie, Florida on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. She was born in New Jersey in 1931, attended Union High School, and lived in Union, Chatham, Florham Park, Flanders and Hackettstown during her long and loving marriage to Robert Hesse. She was active and enjoyed participation at the Swim and Sport Club, located in Flanders, New Jersey, where she served as dues collector for several years. She also worked in home based sales but her favorite job was that of wife and mother. Hilde was 86 years young and lived a long, happy and productive life never meeting a person that she didn’t quickly befriend. She will be missed by many for her cheerful smile, engaging personality and generous spirit.

Hilde was preceeded in death by her husband Robert Hesse in 1997. She is survived by her son Bob Hesse and his wife, Gretchen of Port St. Lucie; son Kurt Hesse of Port St. Lucie; daughter Debby Guertin and her husband, Gene of Alpharetta, Georgia; four granddaughters Summer Hesse, Monica Compton (Guertin), Ali Davis (Guertin) and Stephanie Guertin as well as five great grandchildren.
