

Born April 28, 1950 in Ridgway, PA, he was the son of the late Betty J. (Mecca) Duffee and Charles Mecca. Jack was a 1968 graduate of Ridgway Area High School and completed his education at the Pittsburgh Aeronautical School of Technology.
In 1971, Jack married Mary M. Calla, of Johnsonburg, PA and the couple relocated to Florida where they started their family. In the late 1980’s, Jack’s career expanded to real estate development and construction, which he actively engaged in until his diagnosis in November of 2012.
Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many outings with his sons, nephews and grandchildren. He loved the Lord and his family, felt blessed to have eight grandchildren and delighted in the many family trips and memories that were shared over the years. Jack was also a long-time active member of Morningside Church.
He is survived by his wife Mary (Calla) Mecca and two sons – Dennis, his wife Danielle (Shrader) and their daughters – Abigail, Kendall, Sheridan (Sugar), Faith and Demi; and Ryan, his wife Laurie (Krumfolz) and their children – Riley, Kirsten and Grace, all of Port St. Lucie, FL. Also surviving are two sisters Faye (Karl) Pulvermuller of Havana, FL and Donna Fox (the late James Fox) of Fairview, PA, and an aunt Kathryn Fornal of Port St. Lucie, as well as many nieces, nephews, and life long friends.
There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate Jack’s life on Saturday, May 31st at 2:00PM at Morningside Church located at 2180 SE Morningside Blvd., in Port St. Lucie, FL 34952.
