Jean M. Hamilton, age 80, passed away July 2, 2020. She was born March 3, 1940 in New York to Michael and Mary McEvoy. She married Paul C. Hamilton on April 23, 1961, who preceded her in death in 2004. Paul and Jean raised three children, Valerie, Douglas (preceded in death 2006), and Stephen. Jean was blessed with two grandsons, Aedan and Charles.
Jean and Paul moved to South Florida in 1994. Jean was a Registered Nurse, for nearly 50 years, a graduate of Bellevue Nursing School at Hunter College. Jean was past President, and Trustee at G.F.W.C. Women’s Club in Port St. Lucie. Jean also volunteered at Floresta Elementary School assisting children with reading. Jean most enjoyed being with her family and grandsons, as well as her friends at the Women’s Club. Jean’s favorite memories are of traveling with her husband, and sons to Europe, especially to the World Cup in Paris. Jean was a passionate reader of novels and English mysteries.
Jean leaves behind a daughter Valerie, a son Stephen, daughters-in-laws – Paige, Susan, and Amy, grandsons Aedan and Charles.
She was a member of the St. Lucie Catholic Church.
