She was born in Columbus, MS, along with her big sister, Carol and baby sisters, Wanda and Rita.
She was a strong single mother, who was employed by Ingalls Shipbuilding Company as a material planner for twenty years. She was a survivor of Hurricane Katrina when she moved to Tahlequah, OK in 2005. Jennifer then was employed by Northeastern State University as a Event Planner.
Jennifer moved to Florida to be with family and became a member of Central Baptist Church in Monticello, FL.
Survivors include her son, Steven A. Shoemaker Jr and his wife, Diane J. Shoemaker of Port St Lucie, FL; her daughter, Amy N. Shoemaker and husband, Stephen Sanders of Lamont, FL., and great granddaughter, Delanie M. Chenault of Port St Lucie.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00pm November 19th at Central Baptist Church, 625 Tindell Road Monticello, FL with Pastor Daryl Adams officiating.
