Born in Vanburen, ME, she moved to Port St. Lucie in 1977 from Clark, NJ where she was an active member of the Lady Auxiliary for the rescue squad. Joan retired from AAA of Ft. Pierce, FL where she worked for over 10 years in the travel department. She is survived by a daughter, Debra (David) Miller of Stroudsburg, PA, two sons, Herbert (Wendy) Johnson, Jr. of Painter, VA and Jeffery (Deanna) Johnson of Port St. Lucie, FL, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by all of her siblings, her son, David Johnson, and husband of 47 years Herbert Johnson Sr.
Services will be private.
