Karen E. Matyjaszek, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of love, warmth, and strength that will echo through generations. She was the Here Comes the Sun in the lives of many — always radiating light, even in life’s stormiest moments.
Karen leaves behind her loving husband of 44 years, Dennis, a man who never hesitated to want to hold her hand and say I Love Her; all her loving children; sons, Mike, Jeremy, and Kevin, her cherished daughter, Michelle; her devoted daughters-in-laws, Sara, Ashley, and Tabitha; her adored grandchildren, Emily, Lily, Andy, Sophie, Stella, Sydney, Izabella, and Edward; her great grandchildren, Brylee and Jameson; her Twist and Shout brother, Robert and loving sister, Janis, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unconditional love. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Stephen, as well as her dear brothers, David and Larry. Her family was her Golden Slumbers, the peaceful joy she carried in her heart each day.
Never one to sit still, Karen made it her mission to explore the world Eight Days a Week and live life to the fullest — a true Day Tripper with a curious mind and a bold spirit. Whether embarking on new adventures or gathering her family close at home, she embodied The Long and Winding Road of a life well-traveled and deeply meaningful.
She was always kind and warm, yet unshakably strong. To her family, she was their Blackbird, singing in the dead of night, reminding them that even in darkness, beauty can rise.
Though her physical presence is gone, her spirit remains. In the laughter of grandchildren, in the memories of shared moments, and in the love that binds her family, Karen will always be with us. As we say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing that In My Life, and in all of ours, she was — and always will be — the Yesterday we hold onto and the Let It Be we learn to embrace.
In true Karen fashion, she did it, “her way”.
