What can we say as parents when our child is taken from us so soon. She was our "sunshine" as a little girl and she grew up to be a beautiful lady .Always caring about others. She had a smile for everyone she met. She was a loving wife and mother, but she is and always will be our "sunshine". Till we meet again and we know we will. We will always love you and you are in our heart forever.

It's hard to speak about my sister Karen in the past tense. Sunshine - this was Karen's nickname, given to her by our parents. Anyone could understand why. Here was this adorable little girl with her beautiful golden curls laughing and smiling, who could not fall in love with her instantly! My favorite memories of Karen was when she'd run up to me and Patti when we were dating wanting to go for a ride in the care, sitting on Patti's lap and walking between us hand in hand. I had the privilege and feel so honored and blessed to have watched this sweet girl grow up to be the kindest, most generous, unselfish woman I've ever had the honor of knowing and loving in my life. To have been a witness to her beautiful love story with Sal and her girls. Her love had no boundaries. She was a Rock for them and there was nothing she wouldn't do for them. She would always put everyone before herself. I would call her and ask how she felt and it was always the same, I'm ok, how are you, always worrying about someone else. Her devotion to our family especially our parents was evident in every way. But, most of all I will miss her laugh and the family gatherings were she would she be so happy and content at home with her family. I will always admire her for here strength and courage over these past 9 months. Never complaining and always cheerful. Pushing forward and never letting on how sick she really was or how much pain she felt. Never wanting any of us to feel sorry for her, keeping life as normal as possible, while she battled this disease. Karen always saw the good in everyone, she was a beautiful and remarkable person. May the Lord bless and keep you in his arms and watch ove Sal and her girls, during this most difficult time.I will miss and love you forever, sis. Your Brother.

I will always miss my beautiful sister-in-law, Karen. She was a blessing in my life. She was such a warm hearted and truly compassionate woman. Now she's in the arms of Jesus. I pray for comfort at this hard time for Sal, Gina, Ashley and my Father-in-law and Mother-in-law. As well as my husband Ron and sister-in-law Debbie. May Our Dear Lord keep you close, in these days ahead.
