Karin was born in Rock Island, Illinois to Helmut and Rosina Jech on June 27, 1956. She went to school at Rock Island High School. She married Brian Jay Anderson on June 3, 1973 at St Pius X Church in Rock Island IL She worked as a Sales Representative for Liberty Medical Supply for18 years. Karin was loved and respected by all that knew her. She was dedicated to caring for the ill by ensuring that the received the absolute best level of care when they spoke to her and after many refused to speak to anyone else.

Karin is preceded in death by her father Helmut Jech, her first husband Brian Jay Anderson, her niece Jennifer Webb Larson, and her grandson Brandon James Anderson.

Karin is survived by her daughters Angela Anderson Knittel, Amy Luna and Anna Anderson, sons in law Michael Knittel and William Luna, siblings Kathleen Cardosi, James Jech, Jeffery Jech, Tonya Johnson and Catherine Webb, siblings in law Phillip Cardosi, Kelly Jech and Helen Jech, mother Rosina Small, grandchildren Tyler Anderson and Madison Luna, adopted daughters Joy and Angelina Leffew and the last love of her life Raymond Luhta.
