LOUIS KATZ, of Port St. Lucie, FL, formerly of Waterford, CT, entered into rest on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Bernice (Caulkins) Katz with whom he shared 53 wonderful years. Louis served proudly in World War II as a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy and was a founding member of the Retired Armed Forces Association (RAFA). Devoted father of Louise (Katz) Corcoran of Jensen Beach, FL, Mary (Katz) Brailey of Niantic, CT, and Michael Katz of Westford, MA. Brother to three deceased sisters, Dora, Ruth and Sadie. Cherished grandfather of Matthew and Allison Brailey, Christopher, Timothy and Lauren Katz. Services in Port St. Lucie, FL at the Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 4:00PM. A Memorial observance will be held at the Brailey residence, 25 Brainerd Road, Niantic, CT, on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 1:00PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
