Margie S Martinez

Margie S. Martinez, age 85, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. Margie was born on June 7, 1938 in Asbury Park, New Jersey to Olympia Sacco and Edmund Sacco. Her family migrated to Miami, Florida in 1953 where she would spend the biggest part of her life. Margie graduated from Coral Gables High School in 1956 and began to establish her roots. Margie’s early career encompassed her as a Keypunch operator for Southern Bell, an Office Manager for Crest Business Machines and a Product/Sales specialist for Culligan Water Company. She moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1996, where she worked as a Cashier for K-Mart and later, finished her working career with Florida Department of Corrections, Probation and Parole, Circuit 19 for Fort Pierce, Florida.

Margie was a very active social person who enjoyed dancing and was a proud member of The Red Hat Society.

Margie is survived by her three sons, Charles Harris (Joelle); Teddy Harris; James Harris; and brother John Sacco; granddaughters Jessica Harris, Monica Harris and Kaitlyn Harris; grandsons Charles “CJ” Harris Jr (Tawny), Nicholas Harris (Angelica), Anthony Harris (Natalie) and Zack (Jessica) Harris; great granddaughters Anastyne Gibson, Milla Harris, Salma Harris, Maya Harris and Sophia Harris; great grandsons Corbin Gibson, Moto Harris and Logan Harris. She was preceded in death by husbands, Teddy Harris Sr and Carlos Martinez; brothers, Gaetano Sacco and Fred Sacco, father, Edmund Sacco and mother, Olympia Sacco.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 5-6PM at Aycock Funeral Home 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. A Graveside service will follow on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:30AM at Woodlawn Cemetery 11655 SW 117th Avenue, Miami, FL 33186, 305-238-3672.
