

Marion will be remembered for her larger than life presence, her ability to fill any room she entered with her laughter and beautiful smile. She had an eye for art and making a room come alive with the accent pieces and decorations she placed in every room. She participated in many activities within her community and served on the homeowners association. Marion was successful in several career fields including real estate and an art gallery. Marion loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a great cook, loved to travel, visit casinos and take cruises. Marion loved everything Italian and enjoyed researching her Italian heritage.
Marion was born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on Oct 6, 1934 to Salvadore Scaffido and Youlda Blossom Knipple Scaffido. The family moved to Alexandria VA where Marion attended and graduated from George Washington High School. She moved to Florida in 1968 with Joseph LaRivere.
Marion LaRiviere will be missed and loved by her husband whom she adored, Joseph LaRiviere; her sister Pat Price and husband George; her nieces and nephew Kim, Ron, Heidi, Kathy, and Amy and their families; a step grandson Christopher and his mother Marlene; her sister in-law Rita and Ray Wallace; and her dear friend Rita Griener.
She also leaves behind sister Sandy Matthews, daughter Dawn Pinckney, granddaughter Tia and her siblings, and great grandchildren. Marion also leaves behind countless beloved friends and relatives.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 4PM at the Palm Grove Club House off of US 1.
Internment will be at a later date.
