Mark Haberkost

MARK J. HABERKOST, 51, of Port St. Lucie, FL, died February 4, 2014 at Tradition Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, FL. Born in Paterson, NJ, Mark was a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL for 3 years, moving from Palm Beach County. Mr. Haberkost was in the Trucking Business, as a cross country driver and owner for many years. Mark was a ham operator “K4JLY” always given anyone who need help a helping hand. He was also big in music being a drummer (Crusher) up and down the east coast. He was known for his fast feet and double drum roll.

Survivors include his wife Sondra Wright Haberkost of Port S Lucie, Mark was the love of her life, and he will truly be missed by her. He also leaves his parents; Lois “Mamma” and John Geideman “Johnny” his brother Kirt Haberkost and Great Aunt Ruth Joynson all of Boynton Beach, Fl and his companion “that dog“ Cleo, who went with him everywhere.

A Memorial Service will be Saint Joseph’s Episcopal Church, 3300 Seacreast Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL, at 2:30 on February 16, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Florida Health in St. Lucie County, 5150 NW Milner Drive Port St Lucie, Fl 34983. Please note "Diabetes Program“ on the check or to another charity of your choice.

Friends are invited gather at Connolly’s, 10045 Belvedere Rd., # 789, Royal Palm Beach, FL after the service (@ 5pm) for sharing memories and stories with each other.

Even through he is no longer with us; he will always be in the hearts of the people he touched.
