

Mary was born June 27, 1932 to the late William Nowlen and Nona Elva (Rainwater) Cook in DuQuoin, Illinois. She was married to her late husband Richard Arthur “Jim” Moon for 52 years and they had one daughter, Judith (Moon) Neville.
Mary was a devoted military wife, often working in the accounting office on the USAF bases where her husband served. She was a devout Southern Baptist and enjoyed singing in the choir, teaching children's Sunday School and working with Jim on their puppet ministry.
Mary also became something of a local celebrity by painting rocks in the Port St Lucie Rock Group and was known as Gramma Moon to her many adoring fans.
Mary is also predeceased by her siblings Sylvia, Charles, Pauline, and Edna. She is survived by her daughter Judith and her husband William Neville, her beloved granddaughter, Sheila Young and her husband, Jason, along with her great grandsons and great-great grandsons and granddaughters.
There will be a small, private family Celebration of Life at a later date.
