

Michael was born in the Bronx, New York and moved to Port St. Lucie 16 years ago coming from Brooklyn, New York.
Before retiring, he was a Foreman for the New York City Transit Authority for 24 years. For the last 17 years, Michael had served as a crossing guard for the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
Michael served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 318 and the Elks Club, Lodge 2658 of Port St Lucie.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years Catherine of Port St. Lucie; sons Mark and his wife Edith of Edison, New Jersey, Frank and his wife Patricia of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, Michael Samuelian Jr. of Manhattan; daughters Cathy Samuelian of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, Roseann Aversa and her husband Frank of Great Barrington, MA; brother Berje Samuelian of California; sister-in-law Martha Samuelian of Palm Harbor, FL; and four grandchildren, Steven, Nadia, Samantha and Nina.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, with a memorial service at 4:00 pm at the Aycock Funeral Home Chapel in Port St. Lucie, FL. Carmela LaMattina will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s name to the American Cancer Society, 865 SE Monterey Commons Boulevard, Stuart, FL 34996.
