OSCAR WILLIAM DEATHERAGE, 64, of Port St. Lucie, FL, died April 5, 2013 at Martin Medical Center in Stuart, FL.

Born in Albuquerque, NM, Oscar was a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL for 30 years, moving from Eugene, Oregon.

Mr. Deatherage served our country in the US Army. He was employed as a Behavioral Mental Health Technician for GEO Care Inc. of Martin County for the past 6 years.

He was of the Baptist faith. Oscar was a member of the American Legion Post and an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Deatherage and a sister, Susan Deatherage.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Jill Deatherage of Port St. Lucie, FL; one son, Michael Murphy of Springfield, Oregon; two grandchildren and two brothers Al Deatherage and Billy Deatherage, both of Springfield, OR.

A Memorial Service will be at a later date.
