Richard J. Fruggiero, Sr., age 75, passed away suddenly August 9, 2018 at his home in Port St. Lucie, FL. He was born November 18, 1942 in Camden New Jersey, son of the late Rocco and Teresa Fruggiero. He was also preceded in death by his brother Eugene Fruggiero. Richard graduated from Camden High School and after marrying the love of his life Ellie they raised their family in Marlton, NJ. During that time Richard worked for his uncle at Adkins Trucking in Gloucester, NJ and then by Bed Bath and Beyond in Marlton, NJ and later in Jensen Beach, FL.
Richard and Ellie retired to Port St. Lucie, Florida 14 years ago joining dear relatives in the area and enjoyed their activities and new friends. Richard was recently honored as Men's Club Man of the Year by his community.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years Eleanor (Ellie) Kuehner Fruggiero; adored father of Richard, Jr.and his wife Dorothy; Christine Bedi and her husband Charlie and Debbie Fruggiero. He leaves three precious grandchildgen Colin, Ryan and Lauren Bedi and three precious step-grandchildren Jason, Michael and Megan Kuzma; Sister in law Dorothy Fruggiero.
Funeral services will be private. Inurnment will be in Locustwood Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ at a later date.
