

Mr. Stafford was born July 1st, 1931, in Garfield, New Jersey, to Stanley and Mary Stafford. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force, and went on to graduate from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (formerly Newark College of Engineering) with a Master’s degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
He met and married June Kovack in 1957, and they moved to Brick, New Jersey. He was employed at Fort Monmouth as a project engineer for the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), where he worked on many important projects involving radar and electronics. At the age of 55, he retired blissfully with his wife to Toms River, New Jersey, as well as Port St. Lucie, Florida, where he maintained a winter residence for many years before moving there permanently.
Mr. Stafford is survived by his wife of 58 years, June; his sister, Eleanor McLucky, a resident of South Carolina; his sons Richard, Jeff, and Larry; his daughter Cheryl; his ten grandchildren; and his three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 12, 2016, from 2:00PM - 4:00PM at the Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
