

Robert F. Conrad, 91, died Dec. 29, 2010, at Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce. He was born in Washington, D.C., and lived in Port St. Lucie since 1980, coming from Belmar, N.J. Before retirement, he was a sergeant with the New Jersey State Troopers for 22 years. He is a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a daily communicant at Holy Family Catholic Church and member of the Knights of Columbus Council 12159, the Holy Family Men's Club and the Former Troopers Association New Jersey State Police. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Veronica F. Conrad; daughters, Jayne Gallagher of South Carolina, Bernadette Conrad-Salata of New Jersey, Regina Conrad of New York and Margaret Conrad of New Jersey; sister, Elizabeth Klose of New Jersey; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Conrad. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, 2330 S.E. Mariposa Ave., Port St. Lucie, FL 34952. Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Jan. 3 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon at the church prior to the Mass.
