

Born in Chicago, IL, Roy was a resident of Port St. Lucie since 1989.
Mr. Gulbrandsen’s career was in Law Enforcement, on the Chicago Police Department for over 26 years. After retiring to Florida, Roy worked at the St. Lucie Yacht and Country Club and then at the American Automobile Association Office in Stuart, FL. Mr. Gulbrandsen was a Veteran of the Viet Nam era, serving with the Illinois National Guard.
Mr. Gulbrandsen graduated from the Chicago Police Academy and was a member of the Chicago F.O.P. Lodge #7. Roy was a member of Local Chapters of the American Legion and Am Vets, serving on their Honor Guard.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Linda; three sons, Andrew (Stacey), Steven, Erik; one brother, William (Trina) Gulbrandsen; one sister-in-law, Barbara (Bill) Wokersin; several nieces and nephews; two Aunts, Frances Woods Savage, Ruth Gulbrandsen Larkin and several cousins throughout the state.
Friends and family may call Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 2:00PM – 4:00PM at the Aycock Funeral Home Chapel in Port St. Lucie, FL. A service will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011, 4:00PM at the Funeral home.
