SPC Shakir Cook-Troynel, 23 of Fort Carson, CO and Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away November 17, 2018 in Colorado Springs, CO. Born in Los Angles, CA, he resided in Florida before he entered the military, serving our country in the United States Army. Survivors include his parents, Michael Troynel and Jason Cook, of Port St. Lucie, FL; brothers, Giovanni Cleveland of Ft. Worth, TX, Aaron Cook-Troynel of Colorado Springs, CO, currently serving with the US Army in Afghanistan, Karon Cook-Troynel of Los Angeles, CA, Rashad Cook-Troynel of St. Petersburg, FL, Brandon Cook-Troynel of Port St. Lucie, FL, currently serving with the US Army in Kansas; sisters, Keondria Hunter of Los Angeles, CA, Paris Cook-Troynel and Sydney Cook-Troynel, both of Port St. Lucie, FL. A gathering of friends will be Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 1:00PM - 2:00PM at the Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL. A Memorial Service will follow Saturday at 2:00PM

Such a beautiful pictoral tribute to a beautiful young man. Thank you for bringing him to Phoenix to meet me. That visit was truly a pleasure and I will cherish the memory for my entire lifetime. I wish parents never had to bury any of their children. I wish you all God speed as you morn the loss of Shakir. Sending my deepest condolences. I love you all and pray for your mental and emotional peace.
