Born December 27, 1932 in Villafratte’, Provincia Palermo, Sicily, she owned and ran a convenient store. She had 2 son’s Dominic and Frank. She decided to sell the store and come to the United States. She moved with her family to live in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She worked at Bonds in New Brunswick, New Jersey as a seamstress. She then moved to North Brunswick, New Jersey where she had a daughter Maria and worked for Johnson & Johnson on the Baby Products assembly line. She was transferred to Ethicon working in the medical department threading surgical needles & making products to supply for surgeries. In 1989 she retired from Johnson & Johnson (Ethicon) & moved from New Jersey to Florida where she resided since 1989.
Her greatest love and passion was her family. She loved to cook, garden, seamstress, crotchet and listen to Italian music. She is a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in St. Lucie West, Florida.
She is survived by her son Dominic D'Amato(Toni Ann); daughter, Maria D'Amato-Schwab (Tony); grandchildren, Dominic (Sarah), Dana, Brandon(Jennifer), Breanne, Anthony and Angelina; and great grandchildren Daniella and Rocco.
She was predeceased by her husband Antonino D’Amato, her son Edward "Frank" D'Amato, and her parents Eduardo & Vincenza Aramini.
A visitation will be held on Saturday May 30, 2020 from 8:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. at Aycock Funeral Homes at 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St Lucie, FL 34987, followed by a Mass of Catholic Burial at 10:00 am- 11:00 am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 350 NW California Blvd, St Lucie West, FL 34986. Internment will immediately follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens at 1501 S Kanner Hwy, Stuart, FL 34994.
