

Walter Joseph Gannon , 81 yrs, (1940-2022), of 8516 Waterstone Blvd, Fort Pierce, will be laid to rest at the Fernhill Memorial Gardens Cemetery on 1501 S. Kanner Hwy, Stuart FL, on January 14th, 2022.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at the Aycock Funeral Home Chapel, at 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. Visitation for Family and Friends will be held on January 14th, from 10a-12p, following with Funeral Services at 12p.
A former resident of both Sheboygan and Plymouth, Wisconsin, Lake Worth and Pt St Lucie, FL and of recent, Ft Pierce, Florida, passed away January 11th, 2022.
He was born in Sheboygan Falls, WI, March 16th, 1940. Walter (Joe), served in the US Air Force from 1957-1961. He was in the Security Police Division, where he also trained Military Canines.
He was a resident of Plymouth, WI from 1961-1971, where he was employed as a Police Officer for the Plymouth Police Dept.
He relocated to Lake Worth, FL with his family (late wife Alberta ‘Lynn’ Richardson Gannon ‘1940-1992’, and daughter, Lorrie Ann Gannon Ingram, in 1971, where he was employed as a Deputy by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Dept. and later as a Police Officer for the Town of Palm Beach, FL (retired). Later, in 1986, he moved to the Pt. St. Lucie, FL, area and worked as a Deputy and a Detective for the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Dept. After his retirement in St Lucie County, he worked for the State of Florida, DOT.
He married Madaline Judith Garland Lynn in September, 2001. They resided in Pt St Lucie, FL until 2016, where they relocated to Mineral Bluff, GA. They relocated back to the Ft. Pierce, FL area in 2020.
Walter Joseph Gannon is preceded in death by his father, Walter E. Gannon, mother, Eleanor Dillman Gannon, sister, Frances Gannon, brother, Gerald Gannon, and late wife, Alberta Lynn Richardson Gannon.
He is survived by wife, Madaline J. Gannon, daughter Lorrie Ann Gannon Ingram (Alan) of Palm City, FL, Grandson, Bryan Alan Ingram (Trinity) of WPB, FL and Palmdale, California, and Grandson, John David Lynn of PB Gardens, FL.
Cousin, Nancy Dillman ‘Moh’ (Fred), of Baraboo, WI.
Walter ‘Joe’ loved travel, (driving), reading, and time with family and friends. He had a remarkable sense of humor and enjoyed helping others.
