

William ‘Bill” Thomas Romaniello Jr., age 77 of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on Thursday May 04, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born on July 19, 1945, in Greenwich, CT. He was the son of William Thomas Romaniello and Adeline Mazzariello Romaniello. He was raised in Stamford, CT and graduated from J.M. Wright Technical School. He joined the Marines and served from December 30,1964 - December 29, 1970. He was on active duty in Vietnam for 13 months and received the following
awards: the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnamese Service Medal with 1 Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Sharpshooters Badge for Rifle M-14 and the Good Conduct Medal.
He and Geraldine Fedele Romaniello married in 1969 and had 2 sons, William “Bill” Thomas Romaniello III and Gerald “Jerry” Ralph Romaniello. He was a born salesman and lived and worked in the New Milford area for 30 years. He worked for others and then opened his own business towards the end of his career, which was very successful. After moving to Florida in 2000, he kept active by working part-time. He was a true family man and loved his family beyond measure. He made friends easily and kept up with them throughout the years. He was an avid Yankee fan and loved playing cards, games and singing songs with his grandchildren and supporting them in all that they did.
In addition to his loving wife, Geraldine “Gerri” Romaniello, of Port St. Lucie, FL, he is survived by his son Jerry (Tiffany) Romaniello, his 5 grandchildren: Delaney, Billy, A.J., Brooklynn and Piper Romaniello of New Milford, CT. His daughter-in-law Debbie Romaniello of Palmetto, FL and step grandchildren:Joshua (Niki) Clark of Wesley Chapel, FL and, Hailey Clark of Bradenton, FL. One step great granddaughter, Natalie Clark, brother-in-law Frank Ferretti Sr. of Port St. Lucie, FL, sister-in-law Connie Fedele of Trade, TN and his aunts: Theresa Romaniello, Babe Romaniello and Helen Pagniello. He is preceded in death by his son, William Thomas Romaniello III, his infant grandson, James Romaniello, his brother Nicholas Romaniello and sisters, Cobina Luciano and Carol Ferretti.
Florida arrangements are through Aycock Funeral Home (dignitymemorial.com) in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Bill will be laid to rest in New Milford, CT, with a Wake on Friday, May 26th, 2023 from 5 to 7 pm at Brookfield Funeral Home 786 Federal Road (brookfieldfuneralhome.com) in Brookfield, CT and a Gravesite Service on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the New Milford Center Cemetery 6 Poplar Street at 11:00 a.m.
