Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a resident of Port St. Lucie for 10 years, moving from Spring Hill, FL.
Prior to retirement, William was a Police Officer for the New York City Police Department for 13 years. He was currently employed by G4S Security, assigned to the St. Lucie County Courthouse.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Pat Vega; three sons, William Vega, Jr. and his wife Dolores, Robert Vega and his wife Nixalys, all of Port St. Lucie, FL, Michael Vega of Orlando, FL; one sister, Barbara Savitcheff of Honeoye, NY; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie, FL.
A Funeral Service will be Friday, October 31, 2014, 11:00AM at the Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie, with burial following at Rolling Oaks Cemetery, Port St. Lucie, FL.
