Amanda Jean Gould

Amanda Gould, 46 years old of Pownal Maine, passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2021 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME. Amanda is survived by Aaron Gould, who was her husband of 19 years, and 3 sons, Isaac Gould, Noah Gould, and Dustin Washburn-Ambrose. She is also survived by her mother Linda Washburn, siblings Stephanie Washburn, Lisa Washburn, Peter Washburn, and Mark Washburn, her grandmother Marlene Pennell, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and countless friends. She is predeceased by her Father Richard Washburn.

Amanda was born on July 20, 1975 in Brunswick, ME, and was a lifelong Maine resident. She graduated from the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts with a certification in Massage Therapy, and worked in customer service and management roles at LL Bean and CMMC prior to establishing “Heal Massage and Therapy,” where she relentlessly pursued helping people resolve pain issues and improve the quality of their lives through holistic healing.

Amanda was a lover of the ocean. She loved the sunshine and heat of the summer ocean sand, the wind off the water, and watching the ocean waves crash on the beach! She loved exploring new places, taking walks with her family, and eating Maine seafood...especially lobster! She was a loyal wife, amazing mother, fierce friend, and gifted massage therapist with a love for improving her own life and the lives of other people. She was also a business owner who lived out her passions and connection to people daily through her work, her relentless focus on self-improvement, her vibrant smile, and an infectious laugh that could be heard clearly across any crowded room. She had a gift for healing through the art of massage therapy, and an intuition for helping people in pain that was well known, and sought after. She will be sorely missed!

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the Lisbon Falls Baptist Church gymnasium, located at 555 Lisbon St, Lisbon Falls, ME 04252. This will be open to any who wish to come honor Amanda and her time on this earth.
