

Andrew was born on September 21st, 1960 in Augusta, Maine. He was the son of Raymond and Elaine Leclair. Andrew was a graduate of Cony High School in 1978, where he enjoyed and participated in multiple sports, the school band, and the “Chizzle Whizzle” variety show. Andrew graduated from University of Southern Maine in 1988 with a degree in Social Work.
During his career, Andrew was a devout Social Worker who loved to help people. He worked for various organizations in the Portland area including at the Lighthouse Shelter, Catholic Charities, and Ingraham.
Andrew also enjoyed spending quality time with both his wife and son. He was a lover of music, cooking, and good conversation. Just about anybody could talk to him about just about anything, and he would offer his famous listening ear for as long as the other person needed. Andrew loved sitting by a campfire with a good drink, some good food, and the people he loved. He spent countless summers at the family camp on his beloved Cobbosseecontee Lake. As for Christmastime, you could usually find him singing Christmas carols throughout Portland either at various events or in the Old Port area. He also had countless dogs and cats that he cherished throughout his life.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Sarah Leclair, formerly Taylor, of Gray, his son Matthew Leclair of Charleston, South Carolina, his daughter-in-law Katherine Leclair of Charleston, South Carolina, and his ex-wife, Lynelle Leclair of Gorham.
He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Elaine Leclair.
Graveside services will be held in the spring, with the date and time to be announced.
