Our Beautiful Anna was a proud South Portland Native who attended school at Holy Cross School and South Portland High School. Not one to ever back down from a challenge, Anna was always driven with the desire to make a positive difference wherever she would go. In her latest career endeavor at Retail Business Services, Anna found great personal reward assisting her peers in whatever capacity she could. At RBS, Anna had the opportunity to do what has always been her nature, helping people. Anna was someone who never met a stranger and it was her natural, God given gregariousness that enabled her to form strong bonds with family, and those around her.
A New Englander through and through, Anna thoroughly enjoyed all the treasures of Maine. Anna loved fishing, hiking, trips to Boston and especially, Anna loved all Boston sports. In fact, you would be hard pressed to pry Anna away from a tv if the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins or Celtics happened to be on. Those who met Anna, learned very quickly not to challenge this Boston sports loyalty with praise of an outside team for they would come to regret it. In fact, Anna wasn’t embarrassed in the slightest to admit she had not one, but two TVs in her living room for fear of missing any action should 2 games be on at once.
Anna’s big heart didn’t reserve itself only for people. Anna loved all animals as well and would never turn a blind eye when the opportunity to aid one arose. Anna enjoyed feeding everything and anything from birds, stray cats, squirrels and yes, even raccoons. Of all the animals in the world, Anna had a special love for her cats.
Of all the love and light Anna would share with the world, it was her deep love for her family and friends that burned the brightest. Anna would without hesitation, make herself present and available in order to help someone in distress in anyway she knew how. It was Anna’s love and loyalty to friends and family that will never be forgotten. It will be the comfort we need as we find ourselves yearning to see her smile once more. In this way, Anna will continue with her calling by helping those around her even as the years pass.
Anna is survived by her parents, Susan Johnston of Gorham and Sam DiCenso of Scarborough. Her Brother Keith DiCenso of Steep falls, and his wife Karen and daughter Sophia. Her sister Amanda Cairns of Standish, and her husband Bryan and daughter Kairi and son Landon. Her boyfriend Craig Bernier. Anna is also survived by countless friends and family members that shared in her love.
