Portland, ME -- Barry Wayne Springer, 72, of Westbrook passed away peacefully on April 21, 2015 at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Portland, ME to Sheridan Stillman and Paulie Warren. He graduated from Orono High School. He was married to Dorothy Dadman Springer for twenty-four years and Roxanne Stempert Springer for eighteenyears.
Barry was a lobsterman out of Portland for forty-five years, as well as a cook at Miss Portland Diner and the Inn in Sebago.
He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed raising his children, taking them fishing and lobstering, repairing lobster traps, and visiting coffee shops.
Barry is survived by his siblings Carol Stillman, Sharon Dodson, Betsy Gorneau, and Randy Springer; his children Chery l Leonard and her husband Rob, Robert Springer and his wife Janet, and Jade Springer; and, his grandchildren Cassandra Leonard and Benjamin Springer.
