

Ben was born in Portland, ME on July 16, 1955 a son of the late Alton W. & Jane R. (Merriam) Roberge. He grew up in Winslow, ME graduating from Winslow High School in 1973.
Ben spent many of his younger years traveling throughout Maine, working extensively in carpentry and the building trades. He worked for companies such as Cianbro Corporation and National Semiconductor maintaining industrial buildings, bridge work and ironwork, but his specialty was finished carpentry work.
After returning to school in 2009, he was employed by Apex Systems as a Computer Repair Technician for Dell computers.
Ben loved life to the fullest and enjoyed everyone who entered into his life. His sense of humor was constant and witty. He was always happy to help family and friends. His world lit up when he was with his daughters; he was a proud husband and father.
He especially, was a very proud member of the Tobique First Nation in Brunswick, Canada. He learned late in life of his Maliseet heritage and has spent his most recent years becoming acquainted with the reservation and its people. Each summer he and his family could be found at area powwows celebrating all good things in life.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters Lydia Scott Roberge of Gorham and Christine Miriam Chaisson of Green, ME. He also leaves his granddaughter Alice Rose Chaisson of Green and his sister Sara Jean (Roberge) Deely and her husband Sean of Texas as well as a niece Jenny Deely, nephew John Deely and his uncle James Roberge of Waterville.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 26 Monument St, Winslow with Rev Frank Morin celebrating.
