Carol A. (LeSieur) LaCourse

She was born October 24, 1943 in Portland, ME at the former Maine General Hospital to Maurice and Dorothy (Tibbetts) LeSieur.  She grew up in Old Orchard Beach, graduating from Old Orchard Beach High School Class of 1962.  On September 30, 1967 she married her husband, Arthur D. LaCourse, in Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Biddeford.  They resided in Old Orchard Beach before moving to Saco to raise their family.  They later moved to Biddeford in 2004.

Carol became a real estate broker in 1973 and worked for LaCourse Realty for several years.  She then became a Property and Casualty Insurance Agent in 1981 joining the Fortier and LaCourse Insurance Agency owned by her husband where she worked until the early 1990s when health related issues forced her to retire, becoming a full time homemaker.

She was predeceased by her parents.  She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Arthur; her son, Jeffrey, his wife Mary, and their daughter, Alana Raine, of East Boothbay; a brother, Richard, of Florida and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carol's husband and family wish to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Southern Maine Medical Center, especially to Tiffany, Dawna, Alicia, Brittni, and Sarah who gave loving, tender comfort to Carol during her final days and whom helped ensure her passing was gentle and peaceful.  They were Carol's beautiful Angels of Mercy on Earth. 

There will be a private graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery located in Biddeford, ME on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 2pm. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carol's name to the Children's Advocacy Center of York County, Maine by mailing a check to:
