

Carol was born in Portland, ME on August 14, 1940 a daughter of the late John and Ruth (Walker) Hamilton. She grew up in Windham and graduated from Windham High School.
She retired in 2012 from the Maine Turnpike Authority, where she worked for twenty six years. Prior to that Carol owned and operated the Vaughan Street Variety in Portland for five years and also spent twenty years working for CVS Pine Tree.
Carol was a past Worthy Advisor for Rainbow, a member of Civil Air Patrol and a former member of the Portland Eagles Auxiliary. She also had a love for ceramics, which translated to owning a ceramic studio in South Portland for a time.
She is survived by a daughter Deborah Curry of Westbrook, two grandchildren Adam Curry and Olivia Donlin and a great grandchild Grayson all of Westbrook. She also leaves a sister Karen H. Handley of Westbrook and her two daughters Shari and Bonnie.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
