Charlene Campbell

Born in Portland, Maine on February26, 1957, the daughter of Kenneth W. Fitzgerald and Norma Louise Vincent Fitzgerald. Charlene was one of seven children, one of six girls. She grew up in Portland and attende Portland Public Schools, graduating from Deering High School. She later married John W. Campbell in 1994.

Charlene worked several years at Sebago Moccasin Shoe in Westbrook, Maine for many years, retiring when the closed down. Prior to working there, she did kitchen work at St. Joseph's nursing home as well as retail work at Zayres.

Charlene was always willing to spend time with her several nieces and nephews, sleepovers were a favorite to many of them. Charlene enjoyed family gatherings, camping and hanging with friends.

Charlene is survive by her five sisters, Deborah Drew of Portland, Victoria Stevens and partner Doreen Woodward of Waterboro, Beverly Lord of Portland , Stephanie Parker and her partner Herbert Dorr of Portland and Josie Meservey of Augusta. A stepdaughter Melanie Scott of Augusta. She was predeceased by her husband John W. Campbell, both her parents Kenneth and Norma Fitzgerald, sister Rose Mary Freeman and brother Roy A Fitzgerald.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
