Cynthia Jean Rodrigue

Cynthia Jean “Cyndi” Rodrigue, 56, died on August 4, 2026.

The adopted daughter of Roger and Muriel Nadeau, Cyndi grew up traveling with her parents on adventures across the country. Some of her fondest memories were traveling in the family motor home, camping on the family property at David Pond, and a train journey to Alaska.

Cyndi always considered her greatest accomplishment to be her three sons, Tyler, Corey, and McShae, and she took great pride in her grandchildren.

Cyndi loved music, a love that remained with her throughout her life. During her time on hospice, she especially enjoyed visits from Sr. Anne Francis, FSE, who would visit and sing with her.

Cyndi was always a woman of faith. In her later years, she was rarely far from her many books of prayer and spiritual study and often spent time reading through her father’s books and handwritten notes on a life of faith. As her health declined, she was accompanied by the prayers and Sacraments of the Church. Her family is grateful to the priests of Prince of Peace Parish and to Paul Morin for bringing her the Sacraments and praying with her during her illness, and to Sr. Anne Francis for the friendship and music she shared with Cyndi while she was on hospice.

Cyndi was predeceased by her father, Roger Nadeau.

She is survived by her mother, Muriel Nadeau of Winthrop; her sons, Tyler and his wife Vanessa of Winthrop, Corey and his wife Lynne of Gorham, and McShae and his partner Rayanne of Wells; and her grandchildren, Owen, Cole, Adeline, Emilia, Malachi, and Amal.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Cyndi on Friday, August 14, at 11:00 a.m. at the Basilica, 122 Ash Street, Lewiston.

Visiting hours will be held in the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., immediately preceding the Mass. Interment will follow at the family plot at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
