Diane Constance Brown

Diane was born on April 17, 1957, in Lewiston, Maine, to Laurette and Robert Moore. She graduated from Lisbon High School and married Timothy Brown on July 19, 1975, at St. Anne’s in Lisbon, Maine. They were married for 37 years before divorcing in 2012 and remained good friends until his passing in 2015. In her younger years, Diane worked as a certified nursing assistant at Brunswick Manor. Later Tim’s military service brought her to Virginia where she managed a 7-11 for several years before becoming an elementary school cook. After returning to Maine, she worked at a local grocery store and then as a direct support professional at a social learning center until becoming ill in 2000. Diane thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards, cooking and baking, and caring for her plants.

Diane is survived by her children, Mellisa Brown of Sabattus, Maine, and Nicholas Brown and his wife, Tessa Brown, of Minot, Maine; her four grandchildren, Brittany Bays, Kalea Mains, Lilliana Brown, and Jameson Brown; her siblings, Debra Wilson of Florida, David Moore of Scarborough, Maine, and Lisa Cloutier of Lewiston, Maine; and her best friends, Suzanne Lambert Poisson and Kim Staggs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Laurette Moore; her former husband, Timothy Brown; her sister, Claudette Berry; and her brother, Daniel Moore.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared when arrangements are finalized.
