

Erik V. Croto, 51, of Bradford, NH passed away on January 17, 2021 in Portland, Maine. A loving husband, father, brother, coach and friend. Erik is survived by wife Cheryl Croto of 17 years, five children, Richie, Sabrina, Bryce, Corrinne and Colin, as well as three grandchildren, Allie, Theodore and Emily. He leaves behind his father Lindsay “Lenny” Croto, brothers, Rick Rausch, Lenny Croto Jr and John Noonan, sisters, Regina Croto, Tammy McClammer and Vikki Adams. Erik is predeceased by his mother Thera Croto and brother Frank Herzfeld.
Erik’s career started in the Marine Corps Security Company NWS Yorktown Virginia (MOS 8152) and served as a 0311 Rifleman, 3rd battalion, 6th Marines in Camp Lejeune, NC. He is a Desert Shield/Desert Storm Marine Corps Veteran. Erik spent his life living by the honor, courage and commitment in all that he did. Erik was there for his family, friends, community and fellow Marines anytime of day or night.
After his time in the Marine Corps, Erik built a successful construction company and received his Masters in Education. Erik then went on to coach K-12 wrestling for Bradford Newbury Sutton Sports (BYNS) and was the assistant coach for Kearsarge Regional High School. His most recent, notable career, was launching Kraken Ammunition with his son, Bryce. It was one of his proudest accomplishments. Throughout all of his careers, Erik lived out his passions and dreams and taught others to do the same.
In his free time, Erik loved being outdoors spending his time hunting, shooting, camping and snowmobiling. Erik had a big heart for not only people, but especially animals. Throughout his life, he was never without a dog or two by his side.
Services will take place in the spring at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
