Francis Joseph Mohan III

Francis J. Mohan died on April 19, 2024 at home in Naples, Maine. Frank was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on December 29, 1942. His father was Francis J. Mohan Jr. and his mother Louise Mooney Mohan both of Manchester, New Hampshire.

He leaves behind his wife Penny, they were married for 36 years.

Frank worked many years as a folding machine operator in printing and bindery companies.

Frank was an active member of the United Methodist Church in both Peabody Massachusetts and Naples Maine. He was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Peabody From 1987 until moving to Maine in 1995. He then joined the United Methodist Church of Good Fellowship in Naples Maine in 1996. He became an active member of this church. In the 1980s and '90s Frank was involved in Boy Scouts starting with being a Scoutmaster for cubs, moved on to being a Boy Scout Commissioner and finally an Explorer Leader.

Frank loved life. He loved nature. We had dogs and cats and they all loved Frank and he loved them. He loved camping, fishing and gardening. He grew some of the most beautiful roses ever seen.

Whenever someone needed help, he was there.

Frank had two brothers that he dearly loved that passed away before him. He is survived by a daughter, Crystal McLarty and her husband Jeff of New Hampshire, his son Eric Mohan, of Massachusetts, three step sons James Sullivan, John Sullivan and Bob Sullivan of Maine. Six grandchildren Claire Maclarty, and Madison and Blake Mohan of New Hampshire, Alex Sullivan his wife Brianna, Sandra Sullivan of Massachusetts, Jerry Sullivan and his wife Cheyenne of Virginia. Frank also has two great-grandchildren Daisy Sullivan and Calvin Sullivan of Massachusetts. Frank also leaves behind a sister-in-law Pam Sanderson Mohan of New Hampshire, several nephews, nieces and many good friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 18, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Good Fellowship at 1000 Roosevelt Trail Naples, Maine 04055.
