Gloria Bailey, of 81 East Avenue in Lewiston, died of a heart valve problem on August 31 at 4:22 pm. She was attended by family at her home, on hospice care. She was born on February 18, 1939 to Oliver and Maryann Hamel of Hebron, Maine. She is survived by two of her 9 siblings, her 5 children, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren . She married George Bailey in 1957, and bore her 5 children. Subsequent to George’s passing in 1988 , she eventually met and married Gerald Michaud, at which she gained 5 step-children.
