

She was born September 23, 1936 to Louise M. & George C. Connell. She grew up in Portland, Maine and attended Sacred Heart Grammar School. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1954.
After she graduated she married James L. Splude Sr. They met roller skating at Elm St. Roller Rink. They had eight children. They enjoyed a lot of family events and camping. Her favorite holidays were Thanksgiving, Christmas, and St. Patrick’s Day since she was Irish. She loved celebrating these holidays. She also enjoyed birthdays and barbeques or any event that brought the family together.
She married Earnest Pinkham but was only married a short time as he passed away after two years.
She worked for the Portland School Department (Central Office) for over twenty years.
She met and married Dennis Pinette. They were married for thirty two years until he recently passed away.
She loved going to the horse races and always wanted to go to Las Vegas, which she did in 1997 when her youngest son Jimmy made it possible.
She loved going to New York City. A group of people from work planned a Tour Trip every year. She would take one of her daughters every time. One of her favorite songs was “New York, New York”.
She will be welcomed into heaven by her parents Louise M. (Hagan) and George C. Connell, James L. Splude Sr., Earnest Pinkham, Dennis Pinette Sr., son Richard A. Splude, daughter Jane C. Splude and Darren Pinette.
She is survived by her sister Anne L. Coughlan and brother-in-law Robert E. Coughlan of South Portland, three sons, Dennis J. Splude, Jeffrey M. Splude, and James L. Splude Jr. and three daughters Cynthia L. & Brian Cox, Kathleen M. & Shawn Simpson, Michelle M. Splude and her partner James Earles. She is also survived by Dennis Pinette Jr. Denise and Debbie, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Jane will be laid to rest privately at Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland, ME
