His children Remy, Lyric, Ari, and Killian Cleaves, his life long best friend Corey Shepard, and his fiance Samantha Carr.
Joey never had the easiest life but he always tried to better himself. He started his own flooring company and construction company. Anything Joey put his mind to, he could do it. He was a man of all trades. When there was warm whether you could find him on his motorcycle cruising down the roads with the wind blowing in his face. Joey not only had a love for motorcycles and cars, he also had a love for art which lead him to become a tattoo artist. In his free time he would take the time to draw up some tattoos. Joey even drew up tattoos for himself with the names of his children.
Joey always tried to make others happy, and he would do everything in his power to do so. The love that he had for his grandmother Pam was so big. He would visit her at her home often and always brought her chocolates. She was his saving grace. He also had a love for his nieces and nephews that was so great, he was such a big part of their life. Joey had a love that was so big for his brother and sister as well. Joey helped raise his brother and sister, and all of his nieces and nephews. Words can not express the love he had for his family.
Joey was intelligent, kind, caring, and so much more. Joey had a big heart and loved big. He would always protect the people he loved any way he could. He was the type of person who would give the shirt off of his back in the pouring rain to a stranger. Thats just the type of person he was. He encountered many struggles in life but all of his struggles made him into the loving, strong, adventurous, and caring person that he was.
“Yeah, when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
I will shed the sins and struggles
I have carried all these years
And I'll leave my heart wide open
I will love and have no fear
Yeah, when I get where I'm going
Don't cry for me down here”
-Brad Paisley
Rest in Peace Joey, we all love and miss you so much.
